Camlough Triathlon June 2007

Stetanta saw their biggest ever participation in an official triathlon on Saturday in the Beautiful village of Camlough in south Armagh. 23 Club Members took on with the trying summer conditions, the blistering heat was a joy for the spectators but could certainly be felt by all competitiors on the run section of the very testing sprint distance race 750m swim, 20km Bike, 6km run.

The strength that is building in the club was showing by the fact that we had only one newbie David Dollard competing in his first race with a 1:17 he can be quite happy a be looking forward to more of the same#.

Out of the remaining club members most showed significant improvements on last years times. Finishers of note were Liam Dolan 59:29 2nd overall and 2nd in his category, Owen Martin 1:06:03 24th Overall, Graham Townsend 1:07:36, Robert Kinahan 1:08:46. Johnny Mc Cabe 1:08:46 3rd in Category, Ruairi Gogarty 1:11:27 3rd in category, Mary Laverty 1:12:28 4th in category, Eve Mc Crystal 1:12:57 4th in category, Declan Mc Cabe 1:15:04 3rd in category.
